“I participated in Erasmus + programme for the first time and I was lucky to spend the summer semester in Madeira. The island is a wonderful place for studies and entertainment. The classes were in the evening and the lecturers were nice and cooperative. I had the opportunity to exchange ideas and knowledge in our team work on different projects. That was a chance for me to share my point of view on financial and other topics with students from other universities. I am very happy that I upgraded my skills in Computing Management, which I believe will be very helpful in my career in the future. People in Madeira are very friendly and sociable. One can fully trust them and rely on them, if necessary. I spent an unforgettable time in trips exploring the beautiful nature, mountains, waterfalls and places of entertainment.
I witnessed gorgeous festivals and enjoyed the wonderful local food. In a word, this is a wonderful place, with wonderful people and it is really worth visiting. I hope I will have a chance to visit it again!”

“Erasmus in Madeira was my first erasmus experience, unfortunately also the last. I couldn´t make a better decision than choose this beautiful island and i will never regret it. Classes in the evening give you freedom to explore the island as much as it´s possible, go to the beach, walk verada or levada and make the most of sunny days and fulfill your duties in the evening. Ideal destination for adventure, pleasant weather all year, sunbathing on the beach even in March, breathtaking nature. So many reasons to fall in love with Madeira. Also many events as carnival parade or floral festival will teach you how to celebrate life. People from Madeira are very easy-going and helpful and there is not a problem to communicate in english anywhere.
No words can describe the actual beauty of this island, so go and discover it by yourself!”

“Choosing ISAL as a university where I spent a semester of my studies was even better idea than I thought before leaving. Madeira is a beautiful place. I visited the island a few years before my stay and I fell in love with it already. However, I never thought I would have such a wonderful opportunity to spend here four months, study and learn a language. ISAL is a top university with professors directly from practice who know everything about what they teach. The University offers perfect services, the staff is very helpful, nice and friendly, all in the beautiful building of the university, which is located near the city center. In addition, evening lessons allow you to fully enjoy your stay on this beautiful Island. It's a paradise. As the first experience of studying abroad, I could not choose a better place and I recommend Madeira to everyone who wants to enjoy their life to the fullest."

“At first I didn’t even know anything about ISAL and Madeira. When I came here for my Erasmus + experience I realized why it’s so special.
Imagine a modern university that offers lots of helpful services and enhances an environment in which people cooperate and are open–minded. Now combine it with a unique island that provides you with amazing nature (levadas and natural pools), experiences (festivals and parades) and traditions (typical dishes and poncha).
These are those ingredients that made my Erasmus absolutely incredible, for the people I met and the memories that will last for a long time. I think that the key aspects of ISAL are its link with the local territory and the opportunity it gives you to match your studies with fun and entertainment.
Personally, this choice was the best for me. I’m looking forward to come back soon."

“Spending the summer semester in Madeira was one of the best choices in my life. It was life-changing experience from the beginning to the end. First, all people in the university were so helpful with everything. They gave us full information about the course and helped with every our inquiry. I was very nervous about going to the island, finding a place to live or managing living abroad, but with their help, the journey was smoother.
About the island - the place is out of this world. There is no word to explain the beauty of Madeira. It is 100% worth it to go there and see every corner of this wonderful place. Sunsets, hikes, beaches- it was like living in a dream. One of the most important part of the journey were the people I met. They showed me another life perspective and experiencing with them a lot of things helped broaden my horizons.
There shouldn’t even be a question - Should I spend the semester in Madeira?
The answer is always YES!”

"Studying at ISAL was not my first study abroad, but I can definitely say that it was the best. The people at this school are very friendly. They are willing to help and advice. They are like a family you know you can rely on.
The entire island of Madeira is very friendly and beautiful. Everyone will love this island. I spent a beautiful 4 months here, during which I had the opportunity to travel the entire island of Madeira, several islands nearby (Porto Santo, Desertas Islands) and to get to know local culture and local people.
Tourism study for me was a great choice. I have gained so much new knowledge from this area and looked at how the island works.
This Erasmus was unique and unforgettable for me.
And I know I want to go back to Madeira soon.”
“Studying at this school was the best choice of my life.
All teachers here are very friendly and helpful.
Tourism is very important for this island and I was honored to learn more about it.
I had enough time for my studies and for traveling around Madeira.
In 4 months I traveled all of Madeira and I visited the island of Porto Santo and the Desertas Islands. Even these islands are magical. Each part has many surprises and natural phenomena. Madeira island you just fall in love. It's the most beautiful place I've ever visited. This island is now very special for me.
Not only the students and teachers at ISAL are one big family, but one big family is the whole island.
For a long time I will remember this erasmus.
The four months spent on this island can not be
forgotten.
ISAL for study is the right choice!
I hope I haven‘t been here for the last time.”
